A lower seating position and quiet cabin help prepare you for a peaceful drive. Both the Rio LX and Rio S models are equipped with a 130-hp 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drivetrain. The Rio comes standard with 15-inch steel wheels, MacPherson struts, and earns a remarkable estimated 37 mpg of highway driving and 28 mpg in the city.

Technology and Convenience

Kia’s UVO infotainment system joins a 5.0-inch color touch-screen display, Bluetooth®, a USB port, SiriusXM® satellite radio through a four-speaker sound system, power windows, and heated side mirrors as standard features. Optional features include a 7.0-inch touch-screen, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration, Siri® Eyes Free, voice command, an additional USB port, and a six-speaker audio system. Additionally, remote keyless entry, remote start, and the UVO eServices app to find your vehicle's location, schedule service appointments, and monitor your service history remotely are available.

The 2019 Kia Rio earned a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety when equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights. To aid in your security, a rearview camera, an anti-lock brake system, electronic stability control, and hill start assist control are utilized.  The advanced airbag system, which senses if there is a front-seat passenger as well as detects the degree of the collision, is also standard. Cruise control, LED headlights, forward collision warning, and forward collision-avoidance assist which can automatically apply the brakes if an impact is anticipated are optional.
