The 2020 Sportage is offered in four different trims and two powertrains. The LX, EX, and new S grades are powered by a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder direct injection engine teamed with an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission. Standard front-wheel drive makes 181-hp, earns an estimated fuel economy of 30 mpg highway and 23 mpg city, and has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. The sporty SX trim is equipped with a 240-hp turbocharged engine and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. All-wheel drive is available on all trims.

Technology and Convenience

An 8-inch color touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, Bluetooth®, voice recognition, a USB port, a six-speaker audio system, and remote keyless entry come standard. UVO link, navigation, SiriusXM® satellite radio, SiriusXM® Traffic, an additional USB port, a wireless charger, and an eight-speaker 320-watt Harman/Kardon® premium surround sound system are optional.

The rear seat includes a 17-step recline as well as a 60/40 split-folding feature to allow for longer cargo. With all seats up, the Sportage has 30.7 cubic feet of cargo space and 60.1 cubic feet with the second-row seats folded down. A Smart key with push-button start, Smart Power Liftgate™, illuminated entry with Smart Welcome, power-folding and heated outside mirrors, and a panoramic sunroof are available.



The new Sportage delivers a sense of security with the many standard and available safety features. Included features consist of forward collision avoidance-assist with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, automatic emergency braking, electronic stability and traction control systems, hill start assist, downhill brake control, and an advanced airbag system. Optional features include blind-spot with rear cross traffic collision warning, Smart cruise control with stop & go, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking assist, and LED fog lights.
